The most common Kahlua or coffee brandy drink is a mix with milk or cream, otherwise known as a Sombrero. Though a nice, settling kind of drink, the calories and dairy content make it quite heavy (using skim milk with this mixture just doesn't quite cut it either). One Kahlua alternative is the Cobra.

In a highball glass over ice, pour 1 ½ oz of Kahlua, and then fill with soda water and garnish with a lime. This "Kahlua Light" mixture gives you a light, dairy-free Sombrero alternative.
